Learn the basics of Tai Chi & Qigong. We will cover basic stretch patterns, qigong movements, taijiquan push hand concepts, and the beginning movements of Tai Chi Form 24.
Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is an ancient Chinese martial art. Practiced today primarily for healing, taijiquan builds strength, flexibility and agility as well as increase energy and vitality.
Qigong, a broader term for the healing movements of taijiquan, emphasizes slow/gentle movements to promote general well-being. Participants often describe benefits such as: lessened anxiety, ease of joint/muscular pain, and improved mental clarity.
This workshop is open to everyone, and is intended to give participants a broad experience of how taijiquan and qigong can benefit their overall health. It will also ‘jump-start’ the beginning Taijiquan student and prepare them for their first class.
